Fauxdori Fantasies Series

Hello Fleekers!

This post is very random.  But I thought it would be interesting to post about my ideas of what I want my Fauxdori to be before I get it.  Just to see how it evolves and the journey.  You are more than welcome to come along with me!!

So.  As mentioned in the previous post I did purchase a Fauxdori on Etsy.  I have been eyeing one for a month or two.  I know that isn't terribly long, but I thought about it more and more.  I finally took the plunge and bought it.

Here are my thoughts on how I  am planning on using it.  We will see how it comes about.

I plan on fully diving into the original brain dump/bullet journaling idea.  Instead of having my tasks on the weekly spread I am going to have a booklet dedicated to writing everything down that I need to do day by day.  I think I am going to use the graph paper booklet for this.
I have been talking to a lovely lady on FB about this and it got me kind of regretting pre decorating my planner.  But the good news about change is I can learn right?

I will then have my monthly calendar.  This is where I plan to have standard appointments and such.  I will be decorating it and color coding it.

The next booklet will be the weekly.  To be honest I am not sure how to utilize this one.  I can't decide if I want to do priority planning and just put a few of the tasks or just have appointments.  Not sure yet.  Any thoughts?  I would love your ideas!!

I will have another booklet for lists.  This will be my zone cleaning lists, packing lists, movies I want to see etc.  I am going to use the blank one...I think....for this booklet.

As for the lined one I think I am going to use it for notes.

So.  Those are my plans!  We'll see what happens when it comes!  Can you tell I am super excited about this?  Lol.  I am having a hard time being patient.  Haha.

Fauxdori Fantasies

Hello Fleekers!

You will have to forgive my lack of pictures today.  I am sick...again.  This time a blasted cold.  I know I am always sick.  I dunno what's wrong with me!

OK.  Enough whining.

So.  On March 28 I took the plunge and bought a Fauxdori.  I have been watching a ton of set up videos on YouTube.

I have to say I am super excited about it.  This is the one I purchased:

I did get the pink elastic bands.

I also purchased several notebook  inserts.

This first one I bought is a monthly one.  I got it starting on Sunday.  I am just a traditional girl I guess.  I have had a couple Day Timer inserts that started on Monday and I just couldn't get into them.  You have the option of which one you want to start on which I thought was great!

 The next booklet I got is a week on two pages.  Again with the option if what day you want to start on.  Can I just say how awesome that is!!

The next few I bought are just some standard grid, plain and lined booklets.  I wanted to try the plain and especially the grid ones as I see those a lot in the Bullet Journal/Midori communities.

Ever since I purchased this I seriously think about how I want to arrange it and such.  I am seriously obsessed with it and I haven't even received it yet!  Lol.

I will definitely do a real live review and package opening once I get it.  I can't tell you how much patience I have had to make myself have.  Not like I have a choice.  Lol.

So there ya go!

And by the way..guess what day it is?  FRIDAY!!!! And if you are Christian it's Good Friday at that.  Hope you have an enjoyable Easter Weekend!  {That is your homework for this post.  Lol}.

Hooray For Stickers!

How are you doing?  Are you ready for Easter weekend (if you celebrate it that is...).

I am just ready for the weekend!  Lol.  I do celebrate Easter but I also celebrate weekends!  Lol.

Alright.  Are you ready to talk stickers?  Go fight win!

I am going to talk about how I have used stickers in past planners and my current Bullet Journal.  Hopefully it will help inspire some of you.

This is a month view from my Filofax.  As you can see I used many different kinds of functional stickers.  There are dots and stars.  

Here is a closer look.

As you can see the color dots are coordinated with my pen colors.  These are great little sticker.  I love love love them.  They are called Mark It Dots that I got from Amazon.  I originally got the idea from Enjoyette on YouTube.  I used them to make events pop out at me.  

I used the bigger ones (the green) for pay days.  The pink were for cleaning zones.

Here are just a few of the sheets of Mark It Dots that I have.  I got the transparent ones as well as just the regular.  

These next stickers are Martha Stewart dew drops.  These are very popular in the planner community (I have more noticed them in the Filofax community than anywhere else).  They are repositionable. A lot of people use them for weekly chores. I have used them for many different things.  I have tried the FlyLady daily challenges.  I have tried them for chores.  I have tried them for monthly tasks.  The thing that I have found them most helpful for me is important reminders

These are Avery labels that I printed off myself.  I bought the labels, used the code on the computer, designed them and printed them off.  These are also repositionable.  I have used these quite a lot.  

These are bigger dots that I got at Walmart I believe.  I saw an idea on Pinterest  I believe that she used these for important dates on her monthly calendar.  She cut them in quarters then put them in the corner over the date.  I wish I could give proper credit to where I got the inspiration but I honestly can't remember.  So if you find it please link it in the comments!

Now.  Those were the functional stickers that I personally have.

Here are just some examples of the fun stickers that I have and how I have used them.

As far as what kind of stickers I used I like the traditional flat ones.  There are 3D ones that are puffy.  I don't like those for my planner as they bulk it up.  It was really sad because I saw these really cute bunny stickers I wanted but they had googly eyes.  I guess if they don't bather you then by all means use the 3D ones!  There are some major cute ones out there!!
